উইন্‌স্টন চার্চিল

উইনস্টন চার্চিল (৩০শে নভেম্বর, ১৮৭৪ – ২৪শে জানুয়ারি, ১৯৬৫) ইংরেজ রাজনীতিবিদ ও লেখক। তিনি যুক্তরাজ্যের দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধকালীন প্রধানমন্ত্রী হিসেবে অধিক পরিচিত। চার্চিলকে যুক্তরাজ্য ও বিশ্বের ইতিহাসের অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নেতা হিসেবে গণ্য করা হয়। ১৯৫৩ সালে তিনি সাহিত্যে নোবেল পুরস্কার লাভ করেন। ২০০২ সালে বিবিসির এক জরিপে তিনি সর্বকালের সেরা ব্রিটেনবাসী হিসেবে মনোনীত হন।
