আল-জমুমে যায়েদ ইবনে হারেসার অভিযান পরিচালিত হয় ৬২৭ খ্রিস্টাব্দে (৬ষ্ঠ হিজরি)।^[২]

যায়েদ ইবনে হারেসা হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) এর মুক্তিপ্রাপ্ত দাস ও দত্তক পুত্র ছিলেন। যায়েদ ইবনে হারেসার নেতৃত্বে একটি প্লাটুন একই বছরে বনু সেলিমের আবাসস্থল আল জুমুমে পাঠানো হয়। এ অভিযানে একদল অমুসলিমকে আটক করা হয়।^[৩]^[৪] বনু মুযাইনার একজন মহিলাকেও আটক করা হয় এবং তিনি তাদের শত্রুর শিবিরের পথ দেখান। সেখানে মুসলমানরা কিছু বন্দী গ্রহণ করে এবং প্রচুর গনিমত লাভ করেন। পরবর্তীতে মুহাম্মদ মহিলাটিকে তার স্বাধীনতা দেন এবং মুহাম্মাদের এক অনুসারীকে বিয়ে করেন।^[১]
