1. জার্মান ভাষায় লুডউইগ উচ্চারণ হয়না; "v" হচ্ছে "ভ" so strictly speaking লুডউইগ would be লুদভিগ (not sure about দ or ড)।
2. ভ্যান could be ভান: can someone please check?
3. বেইটোভেন could be বেটহোভেন।

Well, I think you know what my stance is. :-) লুডউইগ and ভ্যান are German-> Anglicized-> Bengalified by poeple who probably wanted to copy the "Sahibs" and did not know the original German pronunciation. Whereas বেঠোফেন is faithful to the original German pronunciation. "Sounding familiar" is not really a good argument, in my opinion.
