ইহুদি বা যিহূদী^[১৭] (হিব্রু ভাষায়: יְהוּדִים‎, Yehudim; আরবি: اليهود, প্রতিবর্ণীকৃত: al-Yahūd) হল ঐতিহাসিক ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদা রাজ্যের ইস্রায়েলীয়^[১৮]^[১৯]^[২০] ও ইব্রীয়দের^[২১]^[২২] থেকে উদ্ভূত একটি নৃধর্মীয় গোষ্ঠী^[২৩] এবং একটি জাতি।^[২৪]^[২৫] ইহুদি জাতিসত্তা, জাতীয়তা ও ধর্ম দৃঢ়ভাবে আন্তঃসম্পর্কিত।^[২৬]^[২৭] কারণ হলো, ইহুদিধর্ম হলো ইহুদিদের জাতিগত ধর্ম। যদিও ধর্মকর্ম পালনের ক্ষেত্রে কঠোর নিয়মানুবর্তিতা থেকে নিয়মহীনতার মত ভিন্নতা পরিলক্ষিত হয়।^[২৮]^[২৯]

ইহুদিরা মূলত একটি জাতি বা ধর্মীয় জনগোষ্ঠী, যারা ইস্রায়েল জাতির অন্তর্গত এবং জাতিগতভাবে ইহুদি ধর্মের অনুসারী। আব্রাহামের পুত্র ইসহাক, তার পুত্র যাকোব ওরফে ইসরাইল (ইস্রাঈল বা ইস্রায়েল)–এর বংশধরগণ বনী ইসরাঈল নামে পরিচিত। যাকোবের বারো পুত্রের নামে বনী-ইস্রায়েলের বারোটি গোষ্ঠীর জন্ম হয় যার মধ্যে ইয়াহুদা'র নাম থেকে ইহুদি শব্দটি এসেছে।
