এখানে (টেবিল সম্পর্কে) আমার কয়েকটি জিনিস বলার ছিল।

1. মানুষের শ্বাসতন্ত্রে শ্বাসের উৎস ফুসফুস ছাড়া আর কথাও হয়না। তাই এই পয়েন্ট-টি redundant. (আমরা ব্যাঙএর মত গলা ফলাতে পারিনা আর আমাদের শ্বাস কখন পেট থেকে আসেনা (যদিও প্রাচীন শাস্ত্রাদির লেখকরা বিশ্বাস করতেন।। যেমন "ওঁ শব্দটি নাভি থেকে শুরু হয়" ইত্যাদি !)
2. শ্বাসের অভিমুখ- বহির্গামীধ্বনি is very interesting for me.. I never thought there were any real alphabet for অন্তরগামী শ্বাস।। I thought only when your tongue gets hot you do that to cool.. but you can pronounce স that way especially যখন কেউ শিউরে উঠে সসস (ঈসস) করে ওঠে। বা যখন কেউ "ঝোল টানে" (অর্থাত মুখ সরু করে লালা ("উশশ" শব্দ করে) চুষে নেয়।
3. "ঘোষতা" sounds a bit odd.. It coud be better written as ঘোষ/অঘোষ (i tried to think of other possibility eg ঘোষণ, ঘোষত্ব all sound even more odd, ঘোষতা may still be ok as long as somebody has used it earlier.. else you have to take a consensus..
4. উচ্চারণরীতি স্পর্শ is also interesting.. It could be either স্পর্শ or No-স্পর্শ, is there anything inbetween or some other alternative here? Just a curiosity:)

Your points are valid - so here are my responses:

1-2 actually the reason I put this here is because it is a real phonetic feature which can be changed depending on the language. the airstream source of most of the consonants in all the world's languages is the lungs, but there are a few languages that have a set of phonemes (used in real words, not just sounds) where the airstream mechanism is not pulmonic but glottalic (the "implosives" - where the air is not sucked by the lungs but the lowering motion of the larynx - while the passage to the lungs is actually shut), some where the airstream mechanism is glottalic egressive (the "ejectives" - where the glottis is closed and then raised to push air out, with the lungs once again not participating), and some where the airstream mechanism is velaric ingressive (the "clicks", where the tongue makes a full closure at the velum and air is sucked into the mouth by the lowering of the tongue cavity), once again with the lungs not participating. So even though the vast majority of the world's sounds are pulmonic (fushfush) egressive (bohirgami), it is worth pointing out this feature as several languages differentiate phonemes on this feature.

3 i got "ghoshota" from the "bhasha o bhashabiggan poribhasha" ([[১]]) - although i have no clue if this word is actually used or not.

4 uchcharonriti - actually "spôrsho"/"sprishto" (plosive) is only one type of manner of articulation. there can be "ghôrsho"/"ghrishto" (affricate), "ushmo"/"ushsho"(how is this pronounced?) (fricative), "noikotto" (approximant), "taron" (flap), etc., depending on what the articulator (e.g. the tongue, the lower lip) is doing on/to the place of articulation (e.g. the palate, the upper lip)...

On a separate note, you are right that "shasher utsho" is a bad term. I should use another word to translate "airstream mechanism" (it's not in the poribhasha) - shasher ____ - something that means "the mechanism that powers the airflow". So I decided to just change all mention of "শ্বাস" to "বায়ু" to take away any reference to breathing from the lungs. This way, we can refer to the air from the lungs or from the glottis or from the velum, etc. Also, I changed "উৎস" to "সঞ্চালক" as "airstream mechanism" doesn't refer to the source of air as much as it refers to the machinery that sets the air in motion.
