Its readership was measured as 33 lakh by Round 1 of the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) 2008.^[১]

In 2005, Asim Nath, a journalist for Aajkaal, died in a car crash. He was one of about 150 journalists worldwide killed that year.^[২]

Sports journalist Dr Pallab Basu Mallik, who was the associate editor of Aajkaal newspaper in June 2005, is also a medical doctor.^[৩]

Another newspaper with a similar name is Desh Pardes Ni AajKaal, a Gujarati evening newspaper.^[৪]
