সৈয়দ জয়নুল আবেদীন হলেন খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিস্তি (খাজা গরীব নেওয়াজ) কর্তৃক প্রতিষ্ঠিত আজমীর শরীফ দরগাহের দিওয়ান (তরীকার প্রধান)। [১]
দরগাহ খাজা সাহেব এ্যাক্ট ১৯৫৫[২] মোতাবেক তিনি হলেন খাজা গরীব নেওয়াজের উত্তরাধিকারী। [৩] এছাড়াও তিনি আজমীর শরীফের দরগাহ দিওয়ান, [৪] উত্তরাধিকারী, সাজ্জাদানশীন বা চিস্তিয়া সুফি তরীকার প্রধান, [৫] গদীনশীন, পীর এবং শায়েখুল মাশায়েখ দিওয়ান সৈয়দ জয়নুল আবেদীন আলী খান সাহেব নামে সুপরিচিত।

তিনি খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিস্তির ২২ তম প্রত্যক্ষ বংশধর।[৭][৮] ইন্ডিয়ান এ্যাপেক্স কোটের ঘাষণা মোতাবেক আজমির শরীফ দরগাহে যত নজরানা বা উপটৌকন জমা পড়ে তিনি তার ৫০শাতাংশের হক্বদার।[৯]

তিনি সাধারণত সমগ্র ভারত এবং বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশে অবস্থিত মাজার সমূহ এবং বিবিধ স্থানে জনসাধারণের উদ্দেশ্যে ধর্মীয় ও রাজনৈতিক বিষয়ে প্রকাশ্যে বক্তব্য দিয়ে থাকেন।[১][১৮] ভারতের রাজনৈতিক দল শীবসেনার প্রধান উদ্দাভ ত্যাক্কেরায় বলেন, তিনি স্বীয় অবদানের জন্য অবশ্যই ভারত রত্ন পদকে ভূষীত হওয়ার যোগ্য।,[১৮][১৯]
