পৌলের পত্র

পৌলের পত্র হলো নূতন নিয়মের তেরোটি পুস্তক যা সাধু পৌলকে আরোপিত করা হয়েছে, যদিও কারো কারো লেখকত্ব বিতর্কিত। এগুলো প্রাচীনতম বিদ্যমান খ্রিস্টান নথিগুলির মধ্যে কয়েকটি। এগুলো আদি খ্রিস্টধর্মের বিশ্বাস ও বিতর্কের অন্তর্দৃষ্টি প্রদান করে। নূতন নিয়মের ধর্মশাস্ত্রের অংশ হিসেবে, এগুলো খ্রিস্টান ধর্মতত্ত্ব ও নীতিশাস্ত্র উভয়ের জন্যই মৌলিক পাঠ্য।

বেশিরভাগ পণ্ডিতরা বিশ্বাস করেন যে পৌল আসলে তেরোটি পৌলীয় পত্রের মধ্যে সাতটি লিখেছিলেন (গালাতীয়, রোমানীয়, ১ম করিন্থীয়, ২য় করিন্থীয়,  ফিলেমন, ফিলিপীয়, ১ম থিসালোনীয়), যখন পৌলের নামের তিনটি পত্রকে ব্যাপকভাবে ছদ্মময় হিসাবে দেখা হয় (১ম টিমোথি, ২য় টিমোথি ও টাইটাস)।[১]

পৌল তার নামে অন্য তিনটি পত্র লিখেছিলেন কিনা (২য় থিসালনীয়, ইফিসীয় ও কলসীয়) তা নিয়ে ব্যাপক বিতর্ক রয়েছে।[১] কিছু পণ্ডিতদের মতে, পৌল একজন সেক্রেটারি বা শ্রুতিলেখকের সাহায্যে প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ পত্র লিখেছিলেন,[২] যারা তাদের ধর্মতাত্ত্বিক বিষয়বস্তু না হলে তাদের শৈলীকে প্রভাবিত করবে। হিব্রুদের নিকট পত্র, ঐতিহ্যগতভাবে পৌলীয় হিসেবে বিবেচিত হত (যদিও রোম এর লেখকত্ব নিয়ে প্রশ্ন করেছিল), কিন্তু ষোড়শ শতাব্দীর পর থেকে মতামত ক্রমশ পৌলের লেখকত্বের বিরুদ্ধে চলে যায় এবং কিছু পণ্ডিত এখন এটিকে পৌলকে আরোপিত করে, বেশিরভাগ কারণ এটি তার অন্যান্য পত্রের মতো শৈলী ও বিষয়বস্তুতে পড়ে না এবং কারণ পত্রটি নির্দেশ করে না যে পৌল লেখক, অন্যদের থেকে ভিন্ন।[৩]

অনেক পণ্ডিতরা যুক্তি দিয়েছেন যে পৌলের জীবনী সংক্রান্ত বিবরণ থেকে, তিনি সম্ভবত কিছু শারীরিক প্রতিবন্ধকতা যেমন দৃষ্টিশক্তি হারানো বা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হাত থেকে ভুগছেন এবং পল স্পষ্টভাবে উল্লেখ করেছেন, বা এমনকি নামও, একাধিক পত্রে তিনি সচিব ব্যবহার করেছেন, যা গ্রেকো-রোমান বিশ্বের সাধারণ অভ্যাস ছিল; সম্ভবত আপাতদৃষ্টিতে অ-পৌলীয়ের পত্রগুলি ব্যাখ্যা করে৷।[৪][৫][৬][৭]

পৌলীয় পত্রগুলি সাধারণত আধুনিক সংস্করণে প্রেরিতদের রচনা ও ক্যাথলিক পত্রের মধ্যে (এটিকে সাধারণ চিঠিপত্রও বলা হয়) মধ্যে রাখা হয়। বেশিরভাগ গ্রিক পাণ্ডুলিপিতে সাধারণ পত্রগুলিকে প্রথমে রাখা হয়েছে,[৮] এবং কয়েকটি বিয়োগগুলো (১৭৫, ৩২৫, ৩৩৬ ও ১৪২৪) নূতন নিয়মের শেষে পৌলীয় পত্রগুলিকে স্থাপন করে।
