পুন্তের একটি ভূদৃশ্য

পুন্ত বা ল্যান্ড অভ পুন্ত্ (মিশরীয়: ) /pu:nt/) ছিলো একটি প্রাচীন রাজ্য। এটি ছিলো প্রাচীন মিশরের একটি ব্যবসায়িক অংশীদার রাজ্য যা সোনা, সুগন্ধযুক্ত রজন, ধূপ, ব্ল্যাকউড, আবলুস, হাতির দাঁত এবং বন্য প্রাণী উৎপাদন ও রপ্তানির জন্য পরিচিত ছিল। অঞ্চলটির কথা প্রাচীন মিশরীয়দের বাণিজ্য অভিযানের নথিপত্র থেকে জানা যায়। এটি সম্ভবত আফ্রিকার শৃঙ্গের আফোনের সাথে সম্পর্কিত, পরবর্তীতে যা প্রাচীন গ্রীকদের কাছে পরিচিত হয়েছিলো, আবার কিছু বাইবেলীয় পণ্ডিতরা এটি বাইবেলে বর্ণিত ভূখণ্ড পুত (পুট) বা হাভিলা বলে চিহ্নিত করেছেন।

অনেক সময় পুন্তকে তা নেতজের (tꜣ nṯr) বা ঈশ্বরের ভূমি বলা হয়। পুন্তের সঠিক অবস্থান হিয়ে ইতিহাসবিদরা এখনও একমত হতে পারেন নি। বেশিরভাগ পণ্ডিতগণ বর্তমানে বিশ্বাস করেন যে পুন্ত মিশরের দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব দিকে অবস্থিত, সম্ভবত তা আধুনিক জিবুতি, সোমালিয়া, উত্তর-পূর্ব ইথিওপিয়া, ইরিত্রিয়া এবং সুদানের লোহিত সাগরতীরবর্তী উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলে। এটাও সম্ভব যে এই অঞ্চলটি আফ্রিকা ও দক্ষিণ আরব হর্ন উভয়কেই আচ্ছাদিত করেছিল। বর্তমান আফ্রিকার হর্ন এর প্রান্তে অবস্থিত একটি সোমালীয় প্রশাসনিক অঞ্চল হলো পুন্তল্যান্ড যা অতীতের ল্যান্ড অভ পুন্ত্ বা পুন্ত রাজ্যের সাথে সম্পর্কিত বলে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।
