বৈদ্যুতিক মোটর আসলে একটি কৌশল এবং ব্যবস্থা, যার মাধ্যমে আমরা বৈদ্যুতিক শক্তি থেকে যান্ত্রিক শক্তি পেতে পারি। প্রকারভেদ অনু্যায়ী এর গঠন ও ক্ষমতা নিয়ন্ত্রিত হয়। তড়িত প্রকৌশলে মূলত বৈদ্যুতিক মোটর নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়ে থাকে।
