অধিবিদ্যা বা মেটাফিজিক্স (Metaphysics) হল দর্শনের একটি শাখা যাতে বিশ্বের অস্তিত্ব, আমাদের অস্তিত্ব, সত্যের ধারণা, বস্তুর গুণাবলী, সময়, স্থান, সম্ভাবনা ইত্যাদির দার্শনিক আলোচনা করা হয়।[১][২] এই ধারার জনক অ্যারিস্টটল। মেটাফিজিক্স শব্দটি গ্রিক ‘মেটা’(μετά) এবং ‘ফিজিকা’(φυσικά) থেকে উদ্ভূত হয়েছে।[৩] অধিবিদ্যায় দুটি মূল প্রশ্নের উত্তর খোঁজা হয়[৪]–
