স্যাফরন (বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম: Mota massyla (Hewitson)) এক প্রজাতির ছোট আকারের ধূসর বাদামী রঙের প্রজাপতি। এরা ‘লাইসিনিডি’ গোত্রের এবং ‘থেকলিনি’ উপগোত্রের সদস্য।^[১] ভারতএ এই প্রজাতির অধীনে কোন উপ-প্রজাতি তালিকাভুক্ত নেই।^[২]

আকার[সম্পাদনা]

স্যাফরন এর প্রসারিত অবস্থায় ডানার আকার ৩২-৩৫ মিলিমিটার দৈর্ঘের হয়।^[৩]

বিস্তার[সম্পাদনা]

এই প্রজাতি উত্তর-পূর্ব ভারত এর সিকিম^[৪] থেকে অরুণাচল প্রদেশ^[৫]^[৬]পর্যন্ত, ভুটান এবং মায়ানমার এর বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে দেখা যায়।^[৩]
