কাজী সরওয়ার হোসেন বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনীর একজন অবসরপ্রাপ্ত রিয়ার অ্যাডমিরাল^[৫] এবং মালদ্বীপে বাংলাদেশের সাবেক রাষ্ট্রদূত।^[৬]^[৭] তিনি বাংলাদেশ কোস্ট গার্ডের সাবেক মহাপরিচালক।^[৮]

জীবনের প্রথমার্ধ[সম্পাদনা]

হোসেন হনুলুলু বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে এমবিএ করেছেন।^[৯] তিনি মাদ্রাজ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে প্রতিরক্ষা বিষয়ে পড়াশোনা করেছেন।^[৯]

কর্মজীবন[সম্পাদনা]

হোসেন ১৯৮০ সালে বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনীতে যোগ দেন^[১০] তিনি আইভরি কোস্টে জাতিসংঘের অপারেশনে কাজ করেছিলেন।^[১১]

২০১১ সালের এপ্রিল মাসে, হোসেন কোস্ট গার্ডের মহাপরিচালক হিসেবে বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনী থেকে তিনটি টহল ক্রাফট গ্রহণ করেন।^[১২]

২০১৫ সালের জানুয়ারিতে, হোসেনকে মালদ্বীপে বাংলাদেশের রাষ্ট্রদূত নিযুক্ত করা হয় যেখানে তিনি রিয়ার অ্যাডমিরাল আবু সাইদ মোহাম্মদ আবদুল আউয়ালের স্থলাভিষিক্ত হন।^[১৩] পরের বছর মালদ্বীপের ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট আবদুল্লাহ জিহাদের সঙ্গে বিদায়ী সাক্ষাতের পর তিনি পদ ছেড়ে দেন।^[১৪]

২০২২ সালের মার্চ মাসে, হোসেন বঙ্গোপসাগরের প্রধান খেলোয়াড় হিসেবে চীন ও যুক্তরাষ্ট্রকে চিহ্নিত করেন।^[১৫] তিনি ছিলেন দ্বিতীয় প্রধান বক্তা।^[১৬] তিনি বাংলাদেশ ইনস্টিটিউট অফ মেরিটাইম রিসার্চ অ্যান্ড ডেভেলপমেন্টের উপদেষ্টা।^[১৭]
