there are related terms like সহজপাচ্য versus দুষ্পাচ্য which have come from পাচন । In sanskrit পাক and পাচন both means cooking.. পাচক is a cook. who works in পাকশালা। we read in childhood "রাঁধুনী বসিয়া পাকে (cooks), পাক(stir) দেয় হাঁড়িতে। সজোরে পাকালে চোখ ছেলে কাঁদে বাড়তে।" probably পাচন is etymologically related to পচন। after all the old linguists must have perceived that পাচন is somebody else (eater) degrading something(food).. and পচন is something degrading by itself (though it is actually done by bacteria in reality). --সপ্তর্ষি(ব্যবহারকারী_আলাপ:Dr.saptarshi|অবদান ২৩:৪১, ১৬ জুন ২০০৬ (ইউটিসি))

good idea.. Can you help me make a template for them ? I remember some of the terms but cant remember some পাচনতন্ত্র | সংবহনতন্ত্র | শ্বাসতন্ত্র | রেচনতন্ত্র | জননতন্ত্র | স্নায়ুতন্ত্র | these are terms I recollect.. but what about

• musculoskeletal system? অস্থি-পেশী তন্ত্র ? Not there in the books..or we can separate it into পেশী তন্ত্র and অস্থি তন্ত্র ?
• Endocrine system.. there was a terms I cant recollect it.. Was it হর্মোন তন্ত্র ? If you translate endo+crine it would be অন্তঃক্ষর but that doesnt sound familier in any way..
• Immune system.. dont think there is a term.. what about রোগপ্রতিরোধ তন্ত্র ?
• Integumentary system (skin)? Skin is চর্ম or ত্বক.. but dont go well with তন্ত্র !

I'll have to ask my wife ... who's a doctor as well .. but like you she studied in English in medical college. What we studied in Bangla in school and college levels were what you mentioned. For endocrine system, I remember reading the term অন্তঃক্ষরা গ্রন্থি or something similar.
