আলঝেইমার’স ডিজিজ (ইংরেজি: Alzheimer's Disease) চিকিৎসা সাহিত্যে এছাড়াও আলঝেইমার রোগ নামে পরিচিত হল স্মৃতিভ্রংশের সবচেয়ে সাধারণ ফর্ম। এই রোগের কোন প্রতিকার নেই যেটি অগ্রগতির খারাপ অবস্থা এবং মৃত্যুর পথে পরিচালিত করে। ১৯০৬ সালে জার্মান মনোচিকিৎসক অ্যালয়েস আলঝেইমার সর্বপ্রথম এ রোগটির বর্ণনা দেন, আর তার নাম অনুসারেই এ রোগের এমন নাম রাখা হয়।[১]
সাধারণত ৬৫ বছর বয়সের বেশী লোকেরা এই রোগে আক্রান্ত হন।[২] যদিও আলঝেইমারের প্রারম্ভিক-সূত্রপাত অনেক আগে হতে পারে। ২০০৬ সালে, ২ কোটি ৬৬ লক্ষ লোক এই রোগে আক্রান্ত ছিল। ধারণা করা হচ্ছে ২০৫০ সালের মধ্যে এই সংখ্যা প্রতি ৮৫ জনে ১ জন হবে।[৩]
