ধর্মের অর্থনীতি
ধর্মের অর্থনীতি সামাজিক- আর্থিক তত্ব এবং পদ্ধতি প্রয়োগ করে; প্রত্যেকের, দলের অথবা সংস্কৃতির এবং সামাজিক অনুক্রমের ধর্মীয় আচরণের প্যাটার্নকে ব্যাখ্যা করে। এডাম স্মিথের প্রথম বিশ্লেষণমুলক ব্যাখ্যা দেন। তার মতে ধর্মীয় কার্যক্রমের পরিমাণ এবং গুণগত মান; সরকারী নিয়ন্ত্রণ ও অর্থনৈতিক প্রভাবে ধর্মীয় সংজ্ঞা নির্ধারিত হয়।[২] দ্বিতীয় আর একটা উদাহরণ দেন ম্যাক্স ওয়েবার। তার থিসিস অনুসারে ধর্মীয় নিয়মকানুন পুঁজিবাদের সূচনা এবং উন্নয়ন ঘটিয়েছে।[৩]
ধর্মীয় অর্থনীতি হচ্ছে আন্তঃসম্পর্কিত এমন একটা বিষয়; যা সময় সময় মুলধারার অর্থনীতিকেই আবৃত করে ফেলে। অর্থনীতির মুল বিষয়গুলো পরিচালিত হয় ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠানকে ঘিরে। ধর্মীয় অর্থনীতি; ধর্মীয় নীতির দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকেই অর্থনৈতিক বিষয়গুলোকে মুল্যায়ন করে।[৪]
