Function

This template shows the POTD from Commons. Not to be confused with Wikipedia:Picture of the day.

This template must be updated at least once a month or it will just repeat images.

Two templates must be updated:

• {{POTD commons}} should be updated using the generated list of images from this generated list
• {{POTD commons/Captions}} (used for the captions) must be updated from this generated list

Parameters

• thumb=yes – show as thumbnail
• title=yes – show the title (only in combination with thumb=yes)
• caption=no – don't show the captions
• float=left/right – for floating the thumbnail left or right (default=left)

Example

{{POTD commons|thumb=yes|title=yes|float=right}} - this will show a thumbnailed version, floated right, with the title and captions.
