Usage

This template expands a name (first parameter) to link to the appropriate Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) station article, without displaying "(CTA station)".

An optional second parameter can be included to specify a particular line.

An optional third parameter can be included to indicate a branch.

It is also possible to include the line and branch in brackets in the first parameter, although these combinations have to be added to the template manually and are primarily for use by {{S-line}}.

The template can be abbreviated as {{cta}} (but not as {{CTA}}, which is a flag template).

Examples

{{cta|Racine|Blue}}	expands to [[Racine station (CTA Blue Line)|Racine]]
{{cta|Racine (Blue)}}	expands to [[Racine station (CTA Blue Line)|Racine]]
{{cta|Western|Blue|Congress}}	expands to [[Western station (CTA Blue Line Congress branch)|Western]]

Discretion should be used on whether to name the place itself or the station that serves it. In railway articles it is generally preferred to use the station unless specifically talking about the place, for example that Division is on Division Street.

Some CTA station pages follow the link form of terminating with "(CTA station)". These are handled automatically by the template.
