This template is used by members of WikiProject Articles for creation to keep track of the backlog of submissions. It may be transcluded to a project or user page by typing {{AFC status}} along with various optional parameters:
The align parameter may be set to left or right and prescribes the position of the template on the page. The default, if not specified, is left.
The type parameter may be set to userbox or original and determines the format of the display (see examples below). The default is original.
