চিরস্থায়ী বৃক্ষ
চিরস্থায়ী বৃক্ষ বা অমরত্বের বৃক্ষ হল কুরআনে উল্লিখিত নিষিদ্ধ গাছ, যেখান থেকে আদম ও হাওয়া খেয়েছিলেন। যেমন হাদিস ও তাফসির গ্রন্থসমূহে এর ইঙ্গিত পাওয়া যায়। বাইবেলে জীবন বৃক্ষের বিপরীতে, কুরআন আদন জান্নাতে শুধুমাত্র একটি গাছের কথা উল্লেখ করেছে, [১] যা ঈশ্বর আদম ও হাওয়াকে এর ফল খেতে নিষিদ্ধ করেছিলেন। [২] [৩] [৪]
কুরআনে বর্ণিত গল্পটি: শয়তান আদম এবং হাওয়ার কাছে হাজির হয়ে তাদের বলে যে, আল্লাহ তাদের সেই গাছ থেকে খেতে নিষেধ করেছেন এ কারণে যে, তারা অমর হয়ে যাবে। তারা উভয়ে আল্লাহর নিষেধ অমান্য করে এ বৃক্ষের ফল ভক্ষণ করে। ফলে তাদের দেহ থেকে জান্নাতি পোশাক খুলে যায় এবং তারা জান্নাতের পাতা থেকে তাদের নগ্নতা ঢেকে রাখে। আদম এই কাজের জন্য অনুতপ্ত হয়েছিল, তাই ঈশ্বর তাকে ক্ষমা করেছিলেন। কিন্তু সে জান্নাত থেকে বহিস্কার হলো। [১] [৫]
