উইলিয়াম বাটলার ইয়েটস (ইংরেজি: William Butler Yeats) (১৩ জুন ১৮৬৫ – ২৮ জানুয়ারি ১৯৩৯) একজন আয়ারল্যান্ডীয় কবি, নাট্যকার, এবং বিশ শতকের সাহিত্যাঙ্গনের একজন অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও প্রভাবশালী ব্যক্তিত্ব। তিনি আয়ারল্যান্ডীয় ও ব্রিটিশ উভয় সাহিত্যেরই একজন প্রবাদ পুরুষ। জীবনের শেষ বছরগুলোতে তিনি দুই মেয়াদে আইরিশ সিনেটর হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন। তাঁর সাহিত্যকর্মে কেল্টিক সাহিত্য, লেডি গ্রেগরি, এবং অ্যাবি থিয়েটারের স্থপতি এডওয়ার্ড মার্টিনের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রভাব বিদ্যামান। ১৯২৩ সালে তিনি সাহিত্যে নোবেল পুরস্কার লাভ করেন। তাঁর পুরস্কার প্রাপ্তি সম্পর্কে নোবেল কমিটির বর্ণনা ছিলো, “অনুপ্রেরণা জাগানো কবিতা, যা খুবই শৈল্পিকভাবে পুরো জাতির স্পৃহা জাগানো ভাবটিকে প্রকাশ করেছে।” ইয়েটস ছিলেন কোনো ক্ষেত্রে সর্বোচ্চ সম্মানপ্রাপ্ত প্রথম আয়ারল্যান্ডীয়।[১] তাঁকে বলা হয় সেই গুটিকয়েক সাহিত্যিকদের একজন যাঁদের সর্বোৎকৃষ্ট কাজগুলো লিখিত হয়েছে নোবেল পুরস্কার জয়ের পর।[২] তাঁর এসকল কাজের মধ্যে আছে দ্য টাওয়ার (১৯২৮), এবং দ্য উইন্ডিং স্টেয়ার অ্যান্ড আদার পোয়েমস (১৯২৯)।

ইয়েটস জন্মগ্রহণ ও পড়াশোনা করেছেন ডাবলিনে, কিন্তু তাঁর শিশুকালের বেশিরভাগ সময় কেটেছে আয়ার‌ল্যান্ডের শহর কাউন্টি স্লিগোতে। যুবক বয়সেই তাঁর কবিতা পড়ার শুরু, এবং এই বয়সেই তিনি আয়ারল্যান্ডীয় কিংবদন্তিগুলো ও অকাল্ট সাহিত্যের দ্বারা গভীরভাবে প্রভাবিত হন। তাঁর প্রথম পর্যায়ের কাজগুলো জুড়ে এই প্রভাবে ছাড়া দেখা যায়। উনিশ শতকের শেষ পর্যন্ত তাঁর এই কাজের ধারা চলতে থাকে। তাঁর সর্বপ্রথম কবিতাগ্রন্থ প্রকাশিত হয় ১৮৮৯ সালে। ইয়েটসকে ধরা হয় ঐতিহ্যগত ভাবধারার অত্যন্ত দক্ষতাসম্পন্ন একজন কবি।
