This template can be used to link to a species' record on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. It should appear in the External links section.

Usage

{{IUCNextlink|<id>|<scientific_name>}} where:

• id is the number after http://www.iucnredlist.org/apps/redlist/details/ in the IUCN Red List URL for the species concerned (excluding /0), e.g. in http://www.iucnredlist.org/apps/redlist/details/42664/0 it is: 42664
• scientific_name is the scientific name as used on the IUCN Red List page, e.g. Elephantulus rufescens which will automatically be italicised.

Example

So {{IUCNextlink|42664|Elephantulus rufescens}} produces:

Elephantulus rufescens at the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species
