Ameenah Gurib-Fakim has received several accolades and honours.[১][২][৩]

  • 2007: Laureate for the L'Oréal–UNESCO Women in Science Award for Africa
  • 2007: Laureate for the National Economic and Social Council – Gov. of Mauritius
  • 2008: Elevated to the Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean by the Government of Mauritius
  • 2008: Awarded the ‘Emma Award’ by Bank One Ltd. ‘For Outstanding achievement and accomplishment’
  • 2009: Fellow of the Islamic Academy of Science in Jordan.
  • 2009: Laureate for the CTA/NEPAD/AGRA/RUFORUM for ‘African Women in Science’
  • 2009: Elevated to the Order of the ‘Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques’ by the Government of France
  • 2009: African Union Award for ‘Women in Science’ for the Eastern African Region.
