নিরামিষবাদ (ইংরেজি: Veganism) হচ্ছে সেই অভ্যাসের চর্চা যার মাধ্যমে যেকোনো ধরনের প্রাণিজ দ্রব্যের ব্যবহার বিশেষত খাদ্যসংযমের জন্য নিরুৎসাহিত করা হয় আবার অনেক সময় প্রাণীর পণ্যমর্যাদা মূলক দর্শনের বিরোধিতার কারণে ও নিরামিষ খাদ্য গ্রহণ করা হয়।[খ] যারা এধরনের দর্শন খাদ্য সংযমের অনুসারী তাদেরকে বলা হয় নিরামিষভোজী(/ˈviːɡən/ VEE-gən).[গ] নিরামিষ-ভোজীদের মধ্যে বিভিন্ন ধরনের প্রকারভেদ আছে যারা সম্পূর্ণভাবে প্রাণিজ দ্রব্য এমন কি মাংস ছাড়াও ডিম, প্রাণিজ উৎপাদিত দ্রব্যের বিরুদ্ধে তাদেরকে বলা হয় আত্মসংযমী নিরামিষাশী (Dietary vegans) অথবা কঠোর নিরামিষাশী।[ঘ] The term ethical vegan is often applied to those who not only follow a vegan diet but extend the philosophy into other areas of their lives, and oppose the use of animals for any purpose.{{efn|Gary Francione (The Animal Rights Debate, 2010): "Although veganism may represent a matter of diet or lifestyle for some, ethical veganism is a profound moral and political commitment to abolition on the individual level and extends not only to matters of food but also to the wearing or using of animal products."[২০]:৬২
