এরিন একটি রঙের নাম যা রঙচক্রে সবুজ এবং বাসন্তী সবুজ রঙয়ের মাঝামাঝিতে অবস্থান করে। আয়ারল্যান্ডের কাব্যিক নাম "এরিন" অনুসারে রঙটির নামকরণ করা হয়েছে।

কোনো একটি রঙকে বর্ণনা করার জন্য "এরিন" শব্দটির প্রাচীনতম ব্যবহারগুলির মধ্যে একটি উদাহরণ হলো জেন জনস্টন স্কুলক্র্যাফ্টের (১৮০০-১৮৪২) কবিতায। "টু দ্য পাইন ট্রিস" শীর্ষক একটি কবিতায় স্কুলক্র্যাফ্ট ইংল্যান্ডে কয়েক বছর কাটিয়ে উত্তর আমেরিকায় তার ফিরে আসার প্রতিচ্ছবি তুলে ধরেছেন। তিনি লিখেছেন-

"Not all the trees of England bright,

Not Erin's lawns of green and light
are half so sweet to memory's eye,

As this dear type of northern sky."
