দ্য ওয়ার্ল্ড ফ্যাক্টবুক (আইএসএসএন ১৫৫৩-৮১৩৩; সিআইএ ওয়ার্ল্ড ফ্রাক্টবুক নামেও পরিচিত)[২] হলো যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সেন্ট্রাল ইন্টিলিজিন্স এজেন্সি কর্তৃক প্রণীত একটি গবেষণাভিত্তিক রেফারেন্স বই যা বাৎসরিকভাবে বিশ্বের রাষ্ট্রসমূহের গবেষণামূলক বিভিন্ন তথ্য ধারণ করে। এর সরকারি প্রিন্ট সংস্করনটি জাতীয় তথ্য সেবা ও সরকারি প্রিন্টিং অফিস কর্তৃক সরবরাহ করা হয়। অন্যান্য কোম্পানি যেমন স্কাইহর্স পাবলিশিংও কাগজে প্রিন্ট সংস্করণ সরবরাহ করে থাকে। ফ্যাক্টবুকটি ওয়েবসাইট আকারেও পাওয়া যায় যা প্রতি সপ্তাহেই হালনাদাগ করা হয়ে থাকে। অফলাইন সংস্করনে ব্যবহারের উপযোগী ডাউনলোডেবল সংস্করন পাওয়া যায়। এটি একটি দেশের দুই থেকে তিন পাতার একটি জনমিতি, ভূগোল, যোগাযোগ, সরকার, অর্থনীতি এবং সামরিকসহ ২৬৭টি[৩] বিষয়ের উপর তথ্য সরবরাহ করে থাকে যার মধ্যে রয়েছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র কর্তৃক স্বীকৃত রাষ্ট্র, এর উপর নির্ভরশীল বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন অংশ সমূহ।
ওয়ার্ল্ড ফ্যাক্টবুক সাধারণ সিআইএ কর্তৃক এর বিভিন্ন অঙ্গসংগঠন ও সরকারি বিভিন্ন সংস্থাকর্তৃক ব্যবহারের উপযোগী করে তাদের রচনাশৈল অনুসরণ করে তৈরি করা হয়।[৪] যাইহোক, এটি অধিকাংশ সময়ই বিভিন্ন গবেষণা বা গবেষণামূল নিবন্ধ রচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে।[৫] যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের আইন অনুসারে যেহেতু এটি সরকার কর্তৃক প্রস্তুতকৃত সেহেতু এটি মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে পাবলিক ডোমেইনে প্রকাশ করা হয়।[৬]
