সংখ্যাতত্ত্ব বলতে সংখ্যা ও এক বা একাধিক কাকতালীয় ঘটনার মধ্যে ঐশ্বরিক বা রহস্যমূলক সম্পর্কে বিশ্বাসকে বোঝায়। এছাড়া এটি কোনো নাম বা শব্দের বর্ণের সংখ্যাসূচক অর্থের বিদ্যাকেও বোঝায়। সংখ্যাতত্ত্ব প্রায়ই জ্যোতিষশাস্ত্র-সহ অলৌকিক ভবিষ্যদ্বাণীর বিভিন্ন উপায়ের সাথে সম্পর্কিত।
