১ নং ক্রোমোসম হল মানবদেহে বিদ্যমান ২৩ জোড়া ক্রোমোসমের একটি। এটি মানবদেহের বৃহত্তম ক্রোমোজোম। মানুষের সাধারণত ক্রোমোসমে দুই সেট থাকে। ১ নং ক্রোমোসমে ২৪৯ মিলিয়ন বেস পেয়ার (যা DNA তৈরীর মুল উপাদান) থাকে। ^[২] এটার পরিমাণ মানবকোষের ডিএনএর ৯%।^[৩]

গবেষকগণ প্রত্যেক ক্রোমোজমে অবস্থিত জীনের সংখ্যা নির্ধারণে বিভিন্ন পন্থা অনুসরণ করে। আনুমাণিক এই জীনের সংখ্যার কিছুটা কম বেশি হতে পারে। ক্রোমোসম ১ সম্ভবত ৪৩১৬টা জীন ধারণ করে। ^[২]
