ট্রকলিয়ার স্নায়ু (ইংরেজি: Trochlear Nerve) বা চতুর্থ করোটিক স্নায়ু (ইংরেজি: IV Cranial Nerve) হল মস্তিষ্ক থেকে নির্গত অক্ষিকোটরের সুপিরিয়র অবলিক পেশীকে বার্তা সরবরাহকারী একটি চেষ্টীয় স্নায়ু।[১] গ্রিক ভাষায় ট্রকলিয়া শব্দের অর্থ কপিকল; সুপিরিয়র অবলিক পেশীতে কপিকল সদৃশ একটি অংশ থাকায়, এর এরূপ নামকরণ।
বৈশিষ্ট্য
[সম্পাদনা]- এটি অ্যাক্সন সংখ্যার দিক থেকে ক্ষুদ্রতম স্নায়ু।
- এটি একমাত্র করোটিক স্নায়ু যা মস্তিষ্ককাণ্ডের পশ্চাৎ অভিমুখে নির্গত হয়।
- এই স্নায়ুর আন্তঃকরোটীয় পথ দীর্ঘতম।
- মস্তিষ্ককাণ্ডের মধ্যে এই স্নায়ু আঘাতপ্রাপ্ত হলে অপরদিকের সুপিরিয়র অবলিক পেশী ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়, কিন্তু মস্তিষ্ককাণ্ডের বাইরে আঘাতপ্রাপ্ত হলে একই দিকের পেশী ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়।
উৎপত্তি
[সম্পাদনা]মস্তিষ্ককাণ্ডের পশ্চাৎ অভিমুখে ট্রকলিয়ার নিউক্লিয়াস থেকে এই স্নায়ুর উৎপত্তি হয়।
