Usage

• Always subst this template.
• There is one field to add your thank you message.

Example

{{subst:WikiThanks|Thank you for helping me. ~~~~}}

Creates:

WikiThanks

Thank you for helping me. [[User]] [[(talk)]] 15:33, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Known issues

Adding an external link or other text containing '=', such as:

{{subst:WikiThanks|[http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:WikiThanks&diff=264678988&oldid=264678893]}}

inside the template causes the template to produce only:

WikiThanks

Thank you

with all text not appearing.

One solution is to add "1=" at the start of your message (this won't be shown in the output). For example:

{{subst:WikiThanks|1=[http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:WikiThanks&diff=264678988&oldid=264678893]}}

correctly produces:

WikiThanks
