আরমানি[২৬] বা আর্মেনীয় (আর্মেনীয়: հայեր, প্রতিবর্ণী. hayer; আ-ধ্ব-ব: [hɑˈjɛɾ]) হল পশ্চিম এশিয়ার আর্মেনীয় উচ্চভূমির অন্তর্গত একটি নৃগোষ্ঠী ও জাতি।[২৭]

আর্মেনীয়রা আর্মেনিয়ার প্রধান জনসংখ্যা এবং প্রকৃতপক্ষে স্বাধীন আর্টসখ গঠন করে। আধুনিক আর্মেনিয়ার বাইরে বসবাসকারী সম্পূর্ণ বা আংশিক আর্মেনীয় বংশভূত প্রায় ৫ মিলিয়ন লোকের বিস্তৃত প্রবাসী জনসংখ্যা রয়েছে। বৃহত্তম আর্মেনীয় জনসংখ্যা আজ রাশিয়া, মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র, ফ্রান্স, জর্জিয়া, ইরান, জার্মানি, ইউক্রেন, লেবানন, ব্রাজিল ও সিরিয়ায় বিদ্যমান। ইরান ও প্রাক্তন সোভিয়েত রাষ্ট্রসমূহ ব্যতীত বর্তমান আর্মেনীয় প্রবাসী জনসংখ্যা মূলত আর্মেনীয় গণহত্যার ফলস্বরূপ গঠিত হয়।[২৮]

আর্মেনীয় ভাষা হল একটি ইন্দো-ইউরোপীয় ভাষা।[২৯] এর দুটি পারস্পরিক স্বচ্ছ কথ্য ও লিখিত রূপ রয়েছে: পূর্ব আর্মেনীয়, বর্তমানে প্রধানত আর্মেনিয়া, আর্টসখ, ইরান এবং প্রাক্তন সোভিয়েত প্রজাতন্ত্রগুলিতে কথিত; এবং পশ্চিম আর্মেনীয়, ঐতিহাসিক পশ্চিম আর্মেনিয়া ও আর্মেনীয় গণহত্যার পরে মূলত আর্মেনীয় প্রবাসী সম্প্রদায়সমূহে ব্যবহৃত হয়। মেস্রোপ মাশটটস ৪০৪ খ্রিস্টাব্দে অনন্য আর্মেনীয় বর্ণমালা আবিষ্কার করেন।
