প্রবেশদ্বার নাকি অন্যকিছু?

কোনো বিষয়ে প্রবেশদ্বার এমন হওয়া উচিত যেখান থেকে পাঠক ঐ বিষয়ে প্রায় সকল নিবন্ধ ব্রাউজ করতে পারে। এছাড়া প্রবেশদ্বারে কোন বিষয়কে এবং এ সংক্রান্ত সাম্প্রতিক তথ্যাদি দৃষ্টিনন্দন এবং আকর্ষণীয় করে পাঠকের কাছে উপস্থাপন করা হয়। এ পাতা যা হচ্ছে (যেভাবে করা হয়েছে) তাকে প্রবেশদ্বার বা পোর্টাল বলা চলে না। এতে যথেষ্ট পরিমানে সেকশন নাই। এতে বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়াতে থাকা এ বিষয়ের নিবন্ধগুলোরও যথেষ্ট লিঙ্ক নাই। আর প্রবেশদ্বারে রঙ নির্বাচন এবং ব্যবহারেও বিশেষভাবে সচেতন এবং রুচিশীল হওয়া প্রয়োজন। প্রবেশদ্বারকে ঠিকমত তৈরি এবং রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করতে না পারলে এমন প্রবেশদ্বার না করাই ভাল। আর শুধু নামে প্রবেশদ্বার এমন কিছু উইকিপিডিয়াতে থাকাও উচিত নয়। তাই হয় একে পরিবর্তন করে সঠিক রূপে তৈরি করা উচিত না হয় মুছে ফেলা উচিত।--বেলায়েত (আলাপ | অবদান) ১৫:২৭, ১ মার্চ ২০১০ (UTC)

Just see the previous form

What I have made is better than previous one which was like recent Football Portal. I created the extra page which is deleted now to restore for conventional form. I have not created this portal just mended it. Bengali Wikipedia should have a portal for the literature loving Bengali nation. As there is no rule for making portals I have mended in this formats as it is easy to make and edit. It might be indecent but what I can say better than the previous form. There is a big deficiency of articles, even in necessary subjects in this wiki. So portals might be irrelevant. As the situation is getting improved we can hope more. Wikipedia:Portal link will help you to know more about portal at Wikipedia. please read the pages before giving your efforts to portal making. Try to met the minimum requirements mentioned there for portal. There are lots of other scopes to enhance Wikipedia, try to give some more effort to improve main pages. Dear Mzsabusayeed, your enthusiasm is appreciated. You are free to experiment bravely. But since quite a few people are finding results your experiments currently not presentable, we would request you to create dummy pages in your namespace where you can parallelly experiment on beautification of the face of the portal pages as you wish. May be after a few more attempts you may come up with a fabulous look that rest of wikipedia may applaud and use. Meanwhile you can continue to discuss with the community to see if they like it. If the community comes to a clear conclusion of acceptence they will use your suggested beautified face for the portal, else you can keep it in your userspace and make many copies and parallelly develop multiple of them in divergent directions and ask others to compare and contrast them with the currently used one and see the their virtues and vices. If you have difficulty in creating dummy pages some of us can help you. I agree with Bellyet-bhai and Jayanta that this portals look needs to be restored back to the earlier form.
