তিউনিসিয়ার জাতীয় সঙ্গীতের কথা ১৯৩০ সালে একটি মিশরীয়ের দ্বারা লেখা হয়েছিল। আসলে মাত্র এক স্তবক, অন্য দুই স্তবক তিউনিসিয়ার জাতীয় কবি আবুল-কাসেম কাকাবি এর দ্বারা যোগ করা হয়েছিল। লিবিয়ার এবং আরব আমিরাতের জাতীয় সঙ্গীতের লেখক দ্বারা তিউনিসিয়ার জাতীয় সঙ্গীতের সুর দেওয়া হয়ছে।[১]

سواعد يهتز فوقها العلم
نباهي به و يباهي بنا

و فيها كفا للعلى والهمم
و فيها ضمان لنيل المنى
و فيها لأعداء تونس نقم
و فيها لمن سالمونا السلام
إذا الشعب يوما أراد الحياة
فلا بدّ أن يستجيب القدر
ولا بد لليل أن ينجلي
ولا بد للقيد أن ينكســر
Our heritage, among the nations, is the strength of our arms,
the arms as hard as the rock of these imposing buildings
And which hold high the banner of the country.
This banner makes us proud, and it is proud to be carried by us.
Arms that bring us towards the highest tops
Of glory and greatness
And which guarantee the realisation of our ambitions
