দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের সময়ে জার্মান এয়ারফোর্স লুফৎওয়াফে ১৯৪০ খ্রিষ্টাব্দের জুলাই থেকে অক্টোবর মাসে ইউনাইটেড কিংডমের উপরে যে সামরিক অভিযান চালিয়েছিল তাকে ব্রিটেনের যুদ্ধ বা ব্যাটল অফ ব্রিটেন বলা হয় । মূলত ইংল্যান্ডের রয়্যাল এয়ার ফোর্সকে হারিয়ে আকাশের দখল নেবার জন্যই এই অভিযান করা হয় । ব্যাটল অফ ব্রিটেন নামটি এসেছে ইংল্যান্ডের প্রধানমন্ত্রী উইনস্টন চার্চিলের হাউস অফ কমন্সে দেওয়া একটি ভাষন থেকে । যেখানে তিনি বলেন : "ফ্রান্সের যুদ্ধ শেষ । আমি মনে করছি ব্রিটেনের যুদ্ধ এবার শুরু হতে চলেছে ..."

এই যুদ্ধে জার্মানী পরাজিত হয় । এই পরাজয় ছিল দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধে হিটলারের নাজি জার্মানীর প্রথম পরাজয় ।
