যক্ষা বানান কয়েকটি জায়গায় দেখেছি। এখন খেয়াল করলাম যক্ষ্মা ও কয়েকটি জায়গায় আছে। মনে হয় দুইটি নিবন্ধই রাখা উচিত। -------- ধন্যবাদ......... মুনতাসির

- I thought যক্ষা is the correct one. যক্ষ্মা may be an alternate spelling.. I dont mind changing if some references are cited.. Samsad dictionary uses যক্ষা :

- আসুন , দেখি কেন যক্ষা বানান অবান্তর । ক্ষয়রোগ (Tb) বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত বাংলা বিশেষ্য পদটি এসেছে যক্ষ্ + মনিম্ প্রকৃতি প্রত্যয়ের দ্বারা (অধিকরণ বাচ্য)। তাই যক্ষ্মা বানানটিই ঠিক । আমার দেখা সবকটি অভিধান আর ব্যাকরণ বইতে এই নির্দেশ রয়েছে । অতিসম্প্রতিও যে বানানটির কোন রদবদল হয়েছে তাও নয় । হালে প্রকাশিত বাংলা ব্যবহার বিধির গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আনন্দ সংকলন "বাংলা কী লিখবেন কেন লিখবেন " শুধু যে যক্ষ্মা বানানকে সঠিক বলে রায় দিয়েছে তাই নয় ; পরামর্শ দিয়েছে - ‘ যক্ষা লিখবেন না ’ ।সুদীপ্ত-০৫ জুলাই ২০০৬
- sounds interesting. But I had read a different etymology probably in Samsad dictionary..that রাজক্ষয় > > যক্ষা। Does anybody have sangsad english to bengali dictionary? এই ব্যাপারে আমি আগেই আমার মতামত দিয়ে পৃষ্ঠায় লিখেছি। আমি বাংলা একাডেমী সংক্ষিপ্ত বাংলা অভিধান দেখেছি এবং Samsad Bengali to English Dictionary দেখেছি। যেখানে বানান হিসেবে 'যক্ষ্মা'র উল্লেখ রয়েছে। তা ছাড়া বাংলা একাডেমী অভিধানে একই শব্দের ভিন্ন বানান থাকলে তাও উল্লেখ থাকে। সেখানে যক্ষা র উল্লেখ নেই। তারপরও খোঁজার ক্ষেত্রে বিভ্রান্তি দূর করার জন্য যক্ষা কে redirect করেছিলাম। রাজিবুল ১৪:২৭, ৫ জুলাই ২০০৬ (ইউটিসি)

It seems majority have found যক্ষ্মা to be more appropriate.. in that case I would request one of the admins to reverse my last edit, unless more contents have been added after the redirection.. (reversal of the rediract) of the redirection.. Though I am still not totally convinced yet..Its quite possible I am not right on bangla spelling issues.. i dont have access to bangla books.. and I have left bengal for more than a decade now.. Please dont mind my edit which was based on my belief which now seems to be turning out to be incorrect.. No one can be infallible and I dont claim myself to be one..
